The WINDSCREEN is Southern Car Club's magazine, telling the exploits of Southern's members, and providing news of social events and competition news.

Weeks Wins In The Wet

Sunday 19th September saw some 40 members of Southern Car Club, friends and guests converge on Godsden House School at Bramley, for a grass autotest.

A total of 10 tests had were to be contested during the course of the day.

As soon as the competition started the heavens opened and the nice grassy surface was soon churned into slippery mud—which made the tests more difficult.

Some of the cars were being used by as many as 3 different drivers but everyone managed to complete 6 of the tests in time for the lunchtime barbecue.

Michael Weeks had a slender lead over Graham Davey at lunchtime but managed to extend it during the afternoon to score an overall win.

Rallye Sunseeker 2000

The organisers of Rallye Sunseeker have been quietly putting their plans in place for what will be the first major motor sport event of the new millennium.

The event will feature a larger Rally Show and Trade Park - a new Service Area - and a Rally Club for enthusiastic spectators.

If you want to help in running the event why not volunteer now and be part of the action. Contact any committee member and they will point you in the right direction
