Competition Round Up

Wug Utting and Nick Starkey contested the Network Q Rally of Great Britain in their Subaru Impreza, along with Tony Jardine who was out in his new Lancer EVO4, Marcus Dodd & John Bennie in the WRC Escort and Richard Worts and Graham Hopewell in the Group A 1600cc Vauxhall Nova.

It's been a busy year for Richard & Graham, who will be reporting on their 1998 activities in future issues of Windscreen.

They were 2nd in class on the Mobil 1 Championship and in September won their class on the Manx International.

Dave Wild took the honours at the recent 'Grass Roots' Autotest held at East Surrey College. Various other members including Vanessa Steele took the opportunity to come out and play. Dick Slaughter & Geoff Dearing took a break from rallying to take charge of one set of tests, while new members Dave Walters and James King got their first marshalling points by running the other set.
