SCC Championships get off to a cracking start
Claims are coming in fast for the 1999 Club Championship. Richard and Catherine Phillipson are leading the Stage Rally and Navigator classes whilst the Trials class is a family affair with Michael Weeks some 16 points ahead of Colin. 10 members have claims in for hot Thumbs, currently led jointly by Tim Hines & Nick Jenkinson.
No claims are yet in for the Autotest/Road Rally/Speed or Race classes. This should change soon as James King has upgraded his brakes on the Caterham and Dave Jenkins is nearing completion of the rebuild of the Healey-Sprite. They should both be out competing very soon.
The Marshal class is a very close contest with 8 members claiming so far (see advert for Chief Marshal). Tying for the lead are Brian Hugh, Vanessa Linley and Chrissie Chorley.
