What's on?

The MSA have reclassified Foot and Mouth areas to Infected and Non-infected, permits are being issued for most events in non-infected areas as long as guidance is sought from MAFF. Permits are not being issued for Road Rallies or Scatters yet.

SCC Grass Autotest

Southern Car Club's Grass Autotest is due to take place at Gosden House on Sunday 17th June. Southern are waiting to see if the MSA will issue a permit, more details will follow as the situation develops.

Avon Park Stages

This years multi use single-venue rally is again held at the Avon Park facility. The rally will take place on Sunday August 12th. Marshals are needed please see page14.

Club Slalom

Southern Car Club are planning a Club Slalom at Perrots Farm on 27th August. There will be, in true SCC tradition, a Barbeque lunch.

Production Car Trial

The re-arranged date for this dual permit Nat B and Club Sport event is 9th September. This BTRDA and ACSMC Championship round will take place at Gordon's field.

Jersey Rally

Jersey Motor Cycle & Light Car Club are organising this event, on October 19th-20th 2001. A number of stages will take place in the dark on the Friday evening with the remainder of the mileage being made up on the Saturday. There will be a trophy rally on Saturday for those crews who are unable to make the Friday stages. Entry Fees are; £295.00 for the early entry (entries received by 31st August) and £370.00 for a standard entry thereafter until close of entries Sept 14th. Plymouth Agencies TSH Stages

If you are interested in this event held at RAF Portreath (Cornwall). Entry fee for this 1st July event is £145 for 60 asphalt miles. Please contact Robert White - 01752 872408.

Rallispec Oakington Stages

15th July sees this event running at Oakington Airfield in Cambridgeshire. 70 miles for £160, AEMC, LCAMC and Oakington Challenge Championships.

Peugeot Challenge

The plans for what is known as 'The NEW 205 Challenge' are gathering speed. 17 cars are already being built for this new series. Pat Flynn, the series co-ordinator hopes to field 30 cars at each of the seven rounds. Marshals WANTED

Jersey Motor Cycle & Light Car Club are requesting marshals for the Jersey Rally on 19th and 20th October. Flghts are available of Gray Dawes Travel, from Exeter, Birmingham, Luton, Gatwick,Southam-pton or Bournemouth, departing late on Thursday 18th or early on Friday 19th (prices are from £100 per person). JMC&LCC are arranging hostel accomodation for visiting marshals or you can book a hotel yourself. If you wish to help out then call Sue Woolley on 01534 613643.

ACSMC

Beginning in Motorsport

The Association of Central Southern Motor Clubs has announced that the Beginning in Motorsport weekend that was planned for Saturday 18th/Sunday 19th August at the Rushmoor Arena in Aldershot has been cancelled.
