SOUTHERN CAR CLUB LEADS THE WAY IN BTRDA

Members of Southern Car Club are leading two of the classes in this years BTRDA Peugeot Sport Gold Star Rally Championship.

At the halfway stage of the championship Richard Phillipson is leading Class N3 in his Wizard prepared Vauxhall Astra and is 4th overall in the Peugeot Sport Gold Star Drivers Championship.

Ellya Gold and Ian Harden lead Class A7 driver and co-driver categories. Ellya is lying sixth in the Gold Star drivers championship, a mere 6 points behind Richard. whilst Ian is fourth overall in the co-drivers category.

Other members are also having a successful year. Catherine Phillipson is currently third placed BTRDA Rally Series Lady co-driver and 4th placed co-driver in N3. Tony Bird has contested the last two rounds and now is 8th placed senior driver.

Other members are contesting the Mintex Championship. John Blaber and Hefin Harries have both driven to 4th in their respective classes.
