New Sponsor For Avon Park Rally

Southern Car Club is proud to announce two brand new sponsors for our Single Venue ACSMC, ASEMC & ASWMC championship rally at Avon Park.

Taking the title are Poole Car Centre, Mitsubishi dealers of repute; the associate title goes to Racetec, a Bournemouth based motorsport parts & bodystyling emporium.

As always, SCC likes to support a charitable cause, and 2000 is no different, with hopefully a sizable donation going to the Daily Echo Centenary Pot of Gold Appeal.

So Sunday 13th August is the date for the Poole Car Centre Stages in association with Racetec — don't miss it, either enter or offer to marshal or officiate, more details elsewhere in this issue.

Club Barbecue is Go

The club's annual barbeque has a new twist this year as it is preceded by a family fun Treasure Hunt (which is not mandatory).

Starting at 4:00pm from Perrotts Farm, the Treasure Hunt will involve simple navigation before returning to the starting point in time for the Barbeque in the evening.

The Treasure Hunt is being organised by Michael Weeks, while chefing duties are in the capable hands of Messrs. Grinsted, Malpas, Smith & Underhill; the disco is courtesy of Paul Skinner and the bonfire & fireworks are under the control (or lack of it) of Kevin and John Blaber is in charge of site erection!

What an evening!

Membership Renewals Due

The club's financial year ends on 30th June, so your subscriptions are due from that date. Single membership is just £20, with joint membership at £35.
