Rallye Sunseeker Set To Be Best Yet
South's major event just keeps growing!
For 2000 the event sees the return of the renowned sea-front special stage, together with yet more innovations set to keep it as the best organised event in the ANCRO National Rally Series.
New marketing partners have joined the rally allowing the organisers to provide more facilities for competitors, marshals and spectators. and facilities.

New marketing partners Christchurch Borough Council are enthusiastically supporting Rallye Sunseeker 2000 by making available more space at The Two Rivers Meet Leisure Centre, together with lighting towers and other parts of the infrastructure. Additionally the Christchurch Chamber of Commerce are enthusiastically involved. Their Chairman was recently given a ride in one of the Ksport Mitsubishi's.
Our new media partner is promoting The Daily Echo Rally Show which runs in tandem with Documentation and Technical Scrutineering at the leisure centre on Friday 25th February.
Thanks to Surrey Free Inns, competitors and marshals will enjoy a range of benefits as members of the Rallye Sunseeker 2000 Club, at 3 venues in Bournemouth, The Litton Tree, Bar Med and the For Your Eyes Only night club.
Local radio station NRGY, are promoting the event in the two week run up to Sunday 20th February when Rally FM goes on air with all the latest news..
Bournemouth International Airport is the new venue for the Service Area. Not only will crews have more space in which to operate but will also benefit from full catering facilities in the terminal building together with a results service and press office.
Numerous new companies are sponsoring championship awards or providing incentive schemes (full details on the web site) including former ANCRO sponsors Mintex, who are maintaining a welcome link with the series.
Spectators already have car parks close to the special stages and the opportunity to buy the Official Programme. For Rallye Sunseeker 2000 they will also be able to join The Rally Supporters Club and receive a host of benefits including access to the special stage at Somerley Park.
Both the Rally organisers and the ANCRO team have put in a tremendous amount of work to ensure that Rallye Sunseeker 2000 launches the ANCRO National Rally Series in style.
Those of you who visited Autosport International at the NEC in early January may have gone to the ANCRO stand and viewed the cars on display. These included Kenny McKinstry's Subaru, Vince Wetton's Mitsubishi and Richard Moore's Escort. Championship officials and event officials were in attendance (Rallye Sunseeker went mob-handed) as was Richard Stoodley who is the man behind the new Roger Clark Award.
Sticker collectors had a field day, thousands were given away, while competitors had an opportunity to discuss the championship and events in detail.
